Ghostbusters VR Trailer Reveals Something Strange Invading Your Neighborhood
If you have ever had a dream of suiting up alongside your favorite Ghostbusters and cleaning up your neighborhood with a Proton Pack at your disposal then the upcoming game from VR studio nDreams is going to make those dreams come true with Ghostbusters VR set to release on the Meta Quest 2.
The new Ghostbusting game will allow players to team up with up to three other players to track down the paranormal with a Proton Pack in your hands. You and your friends will trap these ghosts and bring them back to your HQ in San Francisco, a new city that has not been touched on during the films or other entries in the Ghostbusters franchise. The studio promises an “expansive and engrossing” campaign that can be played alone or in co-op.
The trailer shows off in-engine cinematics and not actual gameplay but it does provide enough of what the game will look like at release. The game will also include character customization that should add a level of fun as you set out to dispense Ghostbustin justice.
No release date has been given for Ghostbusters VR. The press release does note that more information is coming soon and although Illfonic is also working on bringing their own paranormal experience with Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, the two titles should provide a different enough experience that should give fans of the franchise many ways to jump back into the Ghostbusters universe.
