‘Fall’ Getting Two Sequels From Capstone Studios

Last year’s Fall was a sleeper among thriller/horror films. The intense film targeting people’s fear of heights was a new venture into another very logical fear from the producers of 47 Meters Down that tested our fear of the massive and unpredictability of being stuck on the ocean floor. Fall is set to reach new heights as THR has reported that the film is returning for more. The film garnered $17.3M at the box office during its theatrical run last year.

Capstone Studios has given the green light to not one, but two sequels to the original film. Fall director, Scott Mann, will be returning to produce the sequels, and in addition, he will co-write and direct the third installment.

In Fall, Becky and Hunter, two best friends who thrive on conquering fears and pushing limits, embark on a daring adventure by climbing a towering abandoned radio tower. Little do they know that their thrilling escapade will soon turn into a fight for survival.

Stranded at the top of the tower, 2,000 feet above the ground, Becky and Hunter find themselves faced with a treacherous situation. Their expert climbing skills are put to the ultimate test as they navigate the harsh elements, a scarcity of supplies, and the terrifying effects of vertigo-inducing heights.

The production for Fall 2 is set to begin shooting in June 2024, which gives fans something to look forward to. The Hollywood Reporter notes that these sequels will bring back the beloved characters from the first film while also introducing new ones.

The film starred Grace Caroline Currey, Virginia Gardner, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Mann wrote the script alongside Jonathan Frank.

Capstone’s Christian Mercuri expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying:

“These two new sequels are wonderful opportunities to expand on the original. We want to now take the franchise even further as we assemble the very best team and ideas to ensure the next hair-raising, death-defying, and pulse-pounding film for global audiences.”

Scott Mann is equally thrilled about continuing the Fall journey and taking it to the next level. He expressed his gratitude to his fellow producers for supporting his vision and mentioned his excitement about working with new collaborators. Mann is also looking forward to reuniting with the original cast and crew and cannot wait to start filming thousands of feet up.
