Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure Concert Making its American Debut
Fans of the long-running and popular anime series Dragon Ball are in for a treat. Specifically, those in the U.S. as the Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure gears up to make its American debut this May at the Microsoft Center in Los Angeles, California.
Overlook Events created and produced the event and is described as a “narrative symphonic experience.” The concept behind the event is to combine a symphony orchestra, live vocals, and rock instruments with all the bells and whistles that include sound effects, synchronized lights, and a compilation of scenes that provide the Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure experience. The performances include a 60-piece orchestra that plays the iconic music from the late composer Shunsuke Kikuchi. The music is paired with scenes and videos from some of the most memorable scenes in the anime series.
With everything listed above, the event looks to “create a truly immersive multimedia event for anime fans,” and from the sounds of it, they certainly are bringing all the tools at their disposal to do just that. Los Angeles is just the first stop as the event will be providing dates and cities for their future events for the U.S. tour.
Cedric Littardi, founder of Overlook Events spoke about the Dragon Ball experience, saying:
As great enthusiasts of Akira Toriyama‘s saga, we spent long months carefully selecting and analyzing each scene to draw out the essence of the Dragon Ball story. Each scene was thoughtfully set to new orchestrations of the classic music to align with our ‘Narrative Symphonic Experience’ concept. We invite you to enjoy every minute of the ‘Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure’ concert experience.”
With four TV series and 20 feature films, Dragon Ball certainly has the depth and content to feed such an experience. Any fan of Dragon Ball is sure to enjoy this experience.
“We’re thrilled to present the U.S. premiere of the ‘Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure’ here in Los Angeles,” said Lisa Yamatoya, director of licensing and marketing for Toei Animation. “Dragon Ball fans of every age will truly enjoy this one-of-a-kind immersive concert experience!”
