Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Teaser and Posters Reveal the Madness Arriving Next Month
Marvel Studios has dropped another teaser for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness along with a couple of posters that reveal the madness that is set to arrive in less than a month. The teaser also tied itself to WandaVision which we already expected, but with two of the series characters possibly returning in the teaser, it leaves to question if Wanda Maximoff’s (Elizabeth Olsen) dreams will come true in the Doctor Strange sequel.
When WandaVision concluded, we saw the seemingly perfect world that Wanda had built for herself shatter. She held an entire town hostage to create a world where she did not have to deal with the loss of Vision (Paul Bettany) and built the future she wanted for them within this self-inflicted prison sentence she had given herself and those caught within the town’s limits.
The hex she placed eventually comes tumbling down and she seemingly coped to an extent with the loss of Vision, but with the new trailer, those dreams might be reaching out to her once more, or perhaps, as some have suggested, Wanda might have an antagonistic role in the film as she pursues these dreams once more.

One of the post-credit scenes in WandaVision did reveal Wanda not only holding but reading the Darkhold, which is The Book of the Damned that Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) lost to Wanda during their big showdown at the end of WandaVision which could mean that Wanda never really let go and with the scene showing the children that disappeared along with the hex she had on the town were screaming out to her for help while she was in her astral form, this could indicate that she has reinvigorated her attempt to salvage even a piece of what she lost and this could all come to a head in Doctor Strange 2.
The teaser for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness fuels this by giving us a short but valuable teaser that reveals both Doctor Strange ( Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wanda talking about the visions and dreams that they are haunted by. Strange is seen at the wedding of Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) while Wanda sees visions of her boys that were ripped away from her just as quickly as they came into her life. Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch has been haunted by tragedy since her introduction into the MCU and one could wonder if this along with the possession of the Darkhold could lead her astray and will Doctor Strange be able to pull her back?

The film also stars Xochitl Gomez, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Patrick Stewart. The film is helmed by Sam Raimi. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrives on May 6th, 2022 in theatres. Check out the short teaser and posters below:
