Decadence Arizona: Ancient Future Gives Fans A Memorable End of 2022 & Stellar Start to the New Year

Decadence Arizona: Ancient Future carried us into the new year in a 2-day festival event that cranked up the adrenaline to 100 and did not let up. It brought together a lively crowd who gathered to see some of the industry’s top artists bring magical energy to the desert Southwest. For all the anticipation leading up to the festival, the experience was on a whole other level with Relentless Beats putting on a hell of an event that will not be quickly forgotten.

Day one of the festival was truly an experience. The staff was friendly, and they were quick to answer any questions that I or our team head which extended to anyone other than media which I find important when an event of this scale goes down as some attendees might be overwhelmed by the scope and find themselves getting lost, so kudos to the entire staff.

When Relentless Beats say they’re throwing a big New Year’s party for the ages they’re not exaggerating. Day one was very chaotic energy-wise from the crowd, yet somehow they had it under control. The music and production value were on point, another important piece for us as that is part of the reason we all gather, right? It’s one thing to bring in top artists but they followed up on it by ensuring a great production followed. The exception unfortunately was Flume. But we aren’t talking about that. The production fixed the audio system in less than 10 minutes. With a quick recovery, the show continued and blew the metaphorical roof off the joint!

On day 2, everyone who wanted to really kick off day two of Decadence showed up early. By 4 PM cars were lining up so they could get a good parking spot. Doors opened up at 5 PM. Yet, we had people hyping themselves up in the parking lot a bit early, which is awesome to see as we wait for the big show to kick off.

The festivities started off with a little bit of tailgating. Eating, blasting music from your favorite artist that you wanted to see that night. Once inside there was a bigger crowd than on day one, and the energy felt more stable and under control but equally as electrifying. 

Walking through the days during day two was a fresh of breath air, because everyone was in good spirits, and was ready to bring in the New Year. No signs of fatigue from the prior day were seen in sight and people were ready to pick up right where we all left off on day one. Cosmic Gate brought their game by hitting us with some house and some Trance sounds.

Zeds Dead had everyone jumping and bumping with some of their dubstep vibes. 2Soon and Subtronics made sure we headbanged to every song they dropped. Wooli brought his energy with banging beats that would make your mother blush because his bass sound was just impressive. We had a bit of relief with Porter Robinson making sure we bopped whatever he played while making us shed a few tears as well. This was a stacked lineup and after the display, they put on for everyone, we cannot wait to experience more of Relentless Beats‘ shows.
