DC Versus Marvel and The Amalgam Age Omnibus Return in New Omnibus Editions

Two massive volumes collecting the universe-bending comic book crossovers between the greatest characters in pop culture are set to return to print for the first time in decades. DC Versus Marvel Omnibus and DC/Marvel: The Amalgam Age Omnibus are scheduled to be published this August by DC Comics letting fans relive the excitement from both universes.

DC Versus Marvel Omnibus presents the long-awaited collection of crossovers between the core DC and Marvel characters. From the iconic Superman vs. the Amazing Spider-Man in 1976 to 2000’s Batman/Daredevil, this volume gathers stories from some of comics’ most revered talents, including Dennis O’Neil, George Pérez, Dan Jurgens, Chris Claremont, Walter Simonson, J.M. DeMatteis, Mark Bagley, Gerry Conway, John Romita Jr., and more.

Fans will experience gripping confrontations such as Superman versus Spider-Man and Batman versus Captain America, among many others.

Meanwhile, DC/Marvel: The Amalgam Age Omnibus delves into the fusion of the two superhero universes in 1996, resulting in the birth of the Amalgam Universe. This collection features unforgettable one-shot comic books starring amalgamated characters like Dark Claw (Batman and Wolverine), Super Soldier (Superman and Captain America), and Iron Lantern (Iron Man and Green Lantern).

The stories, crafted by renowned creators such as Peter David, Dan Jurgens, Mark Waid, Dave Gibbons, Ron Marz, José Luis García-López, Gary Frank, Bill Sienkiewicz, and Claudio Castellini, offer a glimpse into a unique period in comic book history.

DC Versus Marvel Omnibus will include classics like Superman vs. the Amazing Spider-Man, Batman/Punisher: Lake of Fire #1, and Marvel and DC Present Featuring the Uncanny X-Men and the New Teen Titans #1, among others.

Both volumes are scheduled for release on August 6, 2024, with direct-market-exclusive covers available only in local comic book shops.
