Daisy Ridley Set To Lead The Upcoming Zack Snyder Film MIND FALL
Daisy Ridley is set to star in the upcoming Zack Snyder sci-fi film Mind Fall. The actress who rose to fame after her portrayal of Rey Skywalker in the Star Wars sequel trilogy is jumping back into the sci-fi genre in the upcoming thriller film. Mathieu Kassovitz will be directing the film working off a script written by Graham Moore. John Graham will be producing the film.
The film takes place in the future, where memories are drugs. One person’s memories can be extracted and implanted into another person’s mind via illegal technology. Ridley is set to portray Ardis Varnado who is the top trafficker on the memory black market. She pays to remove memories and then sells the “mems” for an upcharge to her clients, bonding the memories to their subconscious where they become indistinguishable from the memories they already had. But Ardis has become addicted to mems herself and is losing her own identity. When Ardis becomes a suspect in the murder of one of her clients, Ardis can’t trust her memories and sets out to solve the crime herself.
The film is still in early development, but sci-fi movies are a drug for me. The Star Wars sequels have gotten mixed reactions, but Ridley was pretty stellar in her role and has gone on to play some impressive roles since. She seems to be a fan of the sci-fi genre due to her track record and the premise of the film sounds really intriguing. I look forward to seeing who else joins the project and getting more details on the film.
