Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Will Feature Idris Elba

CD Projekt Red has been slowly unveiling the upcoming major expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. The devs have been working hard to bring the game back from the buggy launch it suffered from and has finally seen players giving it the positive reaction the title deserved when running at its full capacity. Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty marks the next step for the game and the new trailer unveiled at The Game Awards gave fans a peek at what’s to come.

The trailer opened with a voiceover from Keanu Reeve‘s Johnny Silverhand but the big news that came out of the trailer is that the expansion will feature Idris Elba who was introduced during the trailer as the character Solomon Reed. The trailer showed that we can expect the same style that we enjoyed during the base game and although details are rather scarce as far as the story of the expansion, we do know that this will be a spy-thriller of sorts.

V will find himself wrapped up in the events of the story and will be working with the new government identity known as the New United States of America. The story will also take place in a new district within Night City which should excite fans as the colorful and deadly landscape of Night City is something to admire and it will be exciting to find a new area within that to explore.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC sometime in 2023.
