Clear: Scott Snyder and Francis Manapul’s Sci-Fi Noir Series Coming to Print at Dark Horse

Dark Horse Comics has announced that they will be bringing the sci-fi noir comic series Clear to print. The visually thrilling series by Scott Snyder and Francis Manapul takes readers to the dystopian not-so-distant future where humanity has turned to neurological filters to see the world as they wish and the reality of the world’s current state is but a mere afterthought.

The series was originally released as ComiXology Original series and will come to print in three oversized periodicals featuring variant covers and will be collected into one trade paperback collection which arrives in Fall 2023.

Dark Horse‘s description of Clear reads:

“Clear is the story of a not-too-distant future where mankind no longer sees the world as it truly is. The invention of neurological filters has made it so one can view reality however they may choose—Old Hollywood monochrome, zombie apocalypse, anime… the possibilities are endless.

Neo-shamus Sam Dunes is one of only a handful who choose to live without a filter. When the death of an old flame reveals foul play, Dunes is set on a wild and twisting mystery that will take him from the city’s deadly underworld to the even deadlier heights of wealth and power.”

Clear #1 will be available at your favorite local comic shop and digitally on March 8, 2023, with Clear #2 following on April 12, 2023, and lastly, Clear #3 releasing on May 10, 2023. The trade paperback collecting the entire series will be released on September 19, 2023, and is available for preorder.
