Bridgerton Season 2 Teaser Trailer Reveals More Complicated Romances

Netflix held a special event for superfans of Bridgerton in celebration of Valentine’s Day. During the event of the historical series, Netflix dropped the first teaser trailer for the second season that is set to arrive next month.

The hit Netflix series follows the scandalous lives of the Bridgerton family and the families of Regency-era London. While last season we focused primarily on Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset’s relationship, the second season will center around Lord Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey, as he searches for a wife.

“The second season of Bridgerton follows Lord Anthony Bridgerton, the eldest Bridgerton sibling and Viscount, as he sets out to find a suitable wife. Driven by his duty to uphold the family name, Anthony’s search for a debutante who meets his impossible standards seems ill-fated until Kate and her younger sister Edwina Sharma arrive from India. When Anthony begins to court Edwina, Kate discovers the true nature of his intentions — a true love match is not high on his priority list — and decides to do everything in her power to stop the union.

But in doing so, Kate and Anthony’s verbal sparring matches only bring them closer together, complicating matters on both sides. Across Grosvenor Square, the Featheringtons must welcome the newest heir to their estate while Penelope continues to navigate the ton whilst keeping her deepest secret from the people closest to her.”

The event featured Nicola Coughlan who plays Penelope Featherington, Simone Ashley who plays Kate Sharma, Carithra Chandran who plays Edwina Sharma, and Golda Rosheuvel who plays Queen Charlotte. They were also joined by the novel series author Julia Quinn. The cast and author spoke about new characters we will be introduced to in Season 2 and what’s in store for Lady Whistledown.

The trailer, that was unveiled at the event, gave us a short but exciting look at what’s in store for the Second Season of the hit period piece. We know from past experience we are in for some steamy romance and drama, but with Lady Whistledown’s identity being revealed at the end of the last season, we are definitely looking forward to seeing where tabloid will take her.

Bridgerton stars Adjoa Andoh, Lorraine Ashbourne, Harriet Cains, Bessie Carter, Shelley Conn, Phoebe Dynevor, Ruth Gemmell , Florence Hunt, Martins Imhangbe , Claudia Jessie, Calam Lynch, Luke Newton, Golda Rosheuvel, Luke Thompson, Will Tilston, Polly Walker, and Julie Andrews as the voice of Lady Whistledown. The hit series is produced by Shonda Rhimes and created by Chris Van Dusen.
