Appendage Trailer Takes Us on A Sinister Body Horror Ride in Upcoming Hulu Film
Hulu has recently released a spine-chilling trailer for Appendage, an upcoming psychological body horror film that is set to send shivers down your spine this Halloween. The movie stars the talented Hadley Robinson and Emily Hampshire and promises to deliver a terrifying experience to viewers this Halloween season.
Developed by 20th Digital Studio, Appendage also marks the feature directorial debut of Anna Zlokovic. The film tells the story of Hannah, a young fashion designer who appears to be fine on the surface but secretly battles debilitating self-doubt. Hannah’s inner demons gradually manifest into a physical entity, taking advantage of her deteriorating health to fuel her anxieties.
In the trailer, we meet Hannah, played by Robinson, as she embarks on a quest to create her next iconic clothing item. However, she soon realizes that something is growing inside her, causing immense torment. Hannah’s growth, known as The Appendage, leads her to a community of individuals who are similarly afflicted.
There, she encounters Claudia, portrayed by Hampshire, who initially appears to embrace the creature within Hannah, calling it the “best thing that ever happened” to her. However, as Hannah’s inner demons escalate, her internal growth transforms into a nightmarish creature that torments its host.
Joining Robinson and Hampshire in the film are Kausar Mohammed and Brandon Mychal Smith. The film is executive produced by David Worthen Brooks, Arbi Pedrossian, and Jenna Cavelle. Robinson, Zlokovic, and Alex Familian serve as producers, with Emma Buerklin as the co-producer.
