Agent Elvis: The King is Ready to Rock and Roll in New Poster for Animated Series
Sony Pictures Animation and Netflix have unveiled a new poster for the animated series Agent Elvis. The series was previously titled Agent King and re-imagins the king of rock and roll who is an undercover spy in the new action comedy adult animation. The series shows a close-up of the king with a gold gun in fitting fashion with a look that is on par with the iconic look of a star. The caption accompanying the poster on social reads:
“Here’s your first look at #AgentElvis, coming soon to Netflix. Happy birthday, King!”
One thing that Sony deserves credit for is their brilliant animation styles they have been able to bring to the screen. You don’t have to look far to see their experimental methods that have paid with films such as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Agent Elvis looks to be their next big animation that should introduce a new animation for fans of the genre and series. The series was created by Priscilla Presley, Elvis’ ex-wife alongside John Eddie.
Check out the official synopsis below:
“Elvis Presley trades in his white jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to help battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves — all while holding down his day job as the King Of Rock And Roll.”
Mike Arnold wrote the series and will also serve as showrunner with Fletcher Moules serving as supervising director. Elvis will be doing the impossible as we can expect to see the King in a jetpack, a chimpanzee sidekick, and working alongside the CIA in their secret government spy program as he works to defend our county. This is all while he lives his normal life as the king of rock and roll as we know and love him.
Presley shared a statement about the attitude behind the series, saying:
“From the time Elvis was a young boy he always dreamed of being the superhero fighting crime and saving the world! Agent King lets him do just that.”
John Varvatos served as consulting producer on the series and is also going to be custom designing Elvi’s wardrobe on the animated series which is not something you see often but with someone’s iconic style as notable as Elvis, this should come to no surprise. The embellishment of Elvis’ wardrobe will shine in the animation handled by Titmouse who also worked on hit series such as The Legend of Vox Machina. The series will be executive produced by Presley, Eddie, Kevin Noel, Jamie Salter, Marc Rosen, Corey Salter, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina
Netflix has yet to unveil a release date for Agent Elvis. Stay tuned as more information becomes available.
