Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey Poster Is Pure Nightmare Fuel
A new horror film was announced along with some images that have many fans losing it. The film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is a horror re-imagining of the classic children’s story created by Alan Alexander Milne. Since the announcement, the bizarre horror film has been a topic of discussion on social media platforms. Now, Dead Central has released an exclusive look at the poster for the film, and it’s as much nightmare fuel as you’d expect.
The indie horror film is set to be the directorial debut of Rhys Frake-Waterfield. This version of the film will see a monstrous re-imagining of Pooh and Piglet who are abandoned by Christopher Robin that leads them on a murderous rampage.
Waterfield gave a brief synopsis of the film, read it below:
“Christopher Robin is pulled away from them, and he’s not [given] them food, it’s made Pooh and Piglet’s life quite difficult… Because they’ve had to fend for themselves so much, they’ve essentially become feral. So they’ve gone back to their animal roots. They’re no longer tame: they’re like a vicious bear and pig who want to go around and try and find prey.”
The film is set to star Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, and Danielle Scott. The images released are guaranteed to give you nightmares and give resemblance to some popular horror films such as The Strangers, The Purge, and Vacancy mostly judging by the masked Pooh and Piglet, the home invasion vibe, and the grotesque setting of the film that is teased in the images.
Having been brought to prominence by Milne’s The House at Pooh Corner, Walt Disney Productions’ films based on the character have made Winnie the Pooh a pop-culture staple that has led to many adaptations in animation, film, and books. The most recent was the 2018 live-action film Christopher Robin which starred Ewan McGregor alongside the honey-loving Pooh bear.
