The Wild Ride Continues in the Vacation Friends 2 Trailer

Get ready for another adventure-filled ride as Vacation Friends 2 premieres on Hulu later this month. Following the enormous success of the original film, this highly anticipated sequel promises to bring more laughter, unexpected twists, and unforgettable moments that caught us all by surprise with the hit film that brought Hulu and 20th Century its most successful premiere weekend on the platform when the film dropped in 2021.

In the first film, we were introduced to the uninhibited duo of Ron and Kyla, who crashed the wedding reception of Marcus and Emily. Little did they know, this chance encounter would pave the way for a unique and hilarious friendship.

The sequel takes us to a Caribbean resort, where Marcus and Emily have secured an all-expenses-paid trip in the hopes of closing a lucrative business deal. They decide to invite Ron and Kyla, who are now married with a baby, to join them on this tropical adventure. Everything seems to be going well until an unexpected party crasher arrives.

Enter Reese, Kyla’s ex-convict father portrayed by the talented Steve Buscemi. Freshly released from San Quentin, Reese unwittingly brings Kyla’s mother’s ashes, mistaken for cocaine. In a hilarious mix-up, Ron ends up snorting the ashes, much to Kyla’s surprise and oddly sentimental joy. But their idyllic vacation takes a chaotic turn when individuals from Reese’s past start causing havoc on the island.

Bringing back the same stellar lead cast, including John Cena, Lil Rel Howery, Yvonne Orji, and Meredith Wagner, the film guarantees more non-stop laughs with the same energy we got in the previous film. Director Clay Tarver, who directed the first installment, returns to deliver even more trippy and outrageous scenes. Alongside Tarver, producers Todd Garner and Stuart Besser return for the sequel as well.

The cast in the previous film had undoubtedly top-tier chemistry and it really fueled the film and experience we all gathered from the unhinged movie hiding a very heartfelt friendship blossoming amongst the chaos. Cena has proven he is a comedic powerhouse and this is one of the films that lets his funny side shine. Throw in the always hilarious Howery and the talents of Wagner and Orji and you have yourself a comedy formula built for success. Including Buscemi in the latest entry will only make this greater.
