Underheist: Stray Bullets Creators Team Up for New Series at Boom! Studios

The dynamic duo of David and Maria Lapham, known for their hit Stray Bullets series, have joined forces with colorist Hilary Jenkins to bring you a gripping new hardboiled heist series titled Underheist, published by BOOM! Studios.

The story follows David, a man who finds himself at rock bottom after losing a battle with gambling addiction, which ultimately destroys his personal life. Desperate for redemption, David will stop at nothing to make amends and turn his life around.

His chance for redemption comes in the form of a criminal opportunity that David learns about through whispers on the street. This heist involves a tunnel system, the ins and outs of which only David, a former NYC subway veteran, knows like the back of his hand. It’s his ticket to freedom and a chance to make everything right again. But the road to redemption is not an easy one, and he’ll have to fight his way out alive.

Underheist #1 features a main cover by David Lapham, with variant covers by Dave Johnson (known for his work on 100 Bullets) and Goran Sudzuka (known for his work on Y: The Last Man).
