The Fall of the House of Usher Trailer Glimpses Into Mike Flanagan’s Latest Horror Series

The Fall of the House of Usher is the upcoming and final limited series on Netflix from filmmaker Mike Flanagan and produced by Intrepid Pictures. Inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe, this eight-episode series follows the Usher siblings, Roderick and Madeline, who have built Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into a powerful empire. However, their dark past and long-held secrets are brought to light when a mysterious woman from their youth begins to target the heirs of the Usher dynasty.

From Mike Flanagan, the creator of The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass, a wicked horror series based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Ruthless siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher have built Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into an empire of wealth, privilege and power. But past secrets come to light when the heirs to the Usher dynasty start dying at the hands of a mysterious woman from their youth.

The series features an ensemble cast including Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell, Carl Lumbly, Mark Hamill, and Bruce Greenwood, among others. Gugino has described the series as “batshit crazy in the best possible way,” with dark humor that touches the soul.

The Fall of the House of Usher is the fifth collaboration between Flanagan and Trevor Macy under their deal with Netflix. Their previous projects include the acclaimed The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, and the upcoming adaptation of Christopher Pike‘s The Midnight Club.

Flanagan and Macy recently signed a deal with Amazon where they will now be developing their projects in a new exclusive deal under their Intrepid Pictures label with Amazon Studios.
