The Bear Season 2 Sets June Premiere Date

FX has given The Bear season 2 a June premiere date. The surprise hit series starring Jeremy Allen White earned critical acclaim as the comedy-drama won fans over with its poignant and charming look at the life of Carmy who trades in the life of a chef in the world of fine dining and returns home to the city of Chicago and takes the reigns of his family’s sandwich shop after the sudden death of his brother.

The network announced that all ten episodes of the second season will be available this Summer on Hulu and pick up where we saw Carmy and his team of cooks tease that the titular restaurant was on its way after Carmy goes all in with the family business as they stumble across a fortune hidden within the sandwich shop that has opened the door to transforming the struggling shop into something more.

Season 2’s synopsis reads:

Season two follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri) and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they work to transform their grimy sandwich joint into a next-level spot. As they strip the restaurant down to its bones, the crew undertakes transformational journeys of their own, each forced to confront the past and reckon with who they want to be in the future.

Of course, it turns out the only thing harder than running a restaurant is opening a new one, and the team must juggle the insane bureaucracy of permits and contractors with the beauty and creative agony of menu planning. The transition brings a newfound focus on hospitality as well. As the entire staff is forced to come together in new ways, pushing the boundaries of their abilities and relationships, they also learn what it means to be in service, both to diners and each other.

Starring alongside Allen White is Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Abby Elliot, Liza Colon-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Edwin Lee Gibson, and Oliver Platt. Season 2 will feature two new faces among the cast with Molly Gordon joining the series and Bob Odenkirk cast in a recurring guest role.

The series was created by Christopher Storer who serves as executive producer alongside Joanna Calo, Hiro Murai, Josh Senior, and Matheson with Tyson Bidner producing. The series created the perfect formula with its stellar cast which catapulted the series to critical acclaim earning awards from Critics Choice Awards, SAG Awards, and Golden Globes.

The Bear Season 2 will premiere on Hulu on June 22, 2023, with all ten episodes available to stream.
