Meg 2: The Trench Trailer Takes Us Back into the Deadly Waters with New Threats
Warner Bros. has unleashed the Meg 2: The Trenchtrailer which shows us the new threat coming to the deadly waters that we previously saw Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) battle a megalodon when the first film was released five years ago. Now, our favorite rescue diver is back once again and will face off with the prehistoric creatures this Summer.
The trailer takes us back millions of years and shows the devastating power of the megalodon as it chomps down on other prehistoric creatures and ensures viewers it reigned supreme above all then and looks to do so now even with a team of people standing in its way alongside Statham which includes the cast of Sienna Guillory, Cliff Curtis,Wu Jing, Sophia Cai, Page Kennedy, Skyler Samuels, and Shuya Sophia. The film is helmed by Ben Wheatley from a script written by Jon Hoeber & Erich Hoeber.
This time, Jonas will not be heading into deep waters to rescue a downed submarine that was attacked by the then-unidentified megalodon. In the upcoming film, the narrative will be inspired by the Steve Alten novel titled The Trench. Statham has now dedicated his career to studying the Megalodon once he discovers it survived their first encounter but new threats are on their way.
