Seth MacFarlane’s Ted Series Casts Giorgia Whigham, Max Burkholder, and Scott Grimes

Peacock has announced that the upcoming Seth MacFarlane series that will bring back the foul-mouthed teddy bear Ted has found its main cast. The prequel series that will star MacFarlane as the voice of Ted will also star Giorgia Whigham, Max Burkholder, and Scott Grimes.

The original films were directed and co-written by MacFarlane which saw him voicing the stuffed teddy bear who was wished to life by a young child and has since become a former celebrity who grew up with his best friend John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) and now the immature pair must cope with John’s girlfriend looking to John to grow up and get them to live their own lives.

Ted Series Casts Giorgia Whigham

The series will serve as a prequel in which Ted is the center of the spotlight and in his prime with his 16-year-old pal John Bennett. Living in middle-class Boston, the pair stick together no matter what, even when Ted is far from the best influence in his life.

Burkholder will play the role of the younger John Bennett and is described as a “likable teen” in his awkward phase. Whigham will play Blaire Bennett, she is John’s outspoken cousin who lives with the family while she attends college. Grimes will play the role of John’s father, Matty Bennett, he is described as a “blue-collar Bostonian” who enjoys being the boss of the family.

MacFarlane will reprise his role as Ted as he lends his voice to the character once again and will also write and direct all the episodes of the series. MacFarlane is renowned for his work creating and voicing many of the characters in Family Guy, American Dad, and his Star Trek parody series The Orville. MacFarlane will be co-writing, co-showrunning, and executive producing Ted alongside Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh. They will be joined as executive producers by Erica HugginsAlana Kleiman, and Jason Clark.

Ted does not currently have a release date but stay tuned as more updates become available.
