Skybound Launches Extremity: Signature Edition Kickstarter Campaign

Skybound has officially launched the Kickstarter-exclusive Extremity: Signature Edition campaign, bringing Daniel Warren Johnson‘s masterwork to fans in a whole new way. Known for his creative force behind Image/Skybound series such as Transformers, Murder Falcon, and the Eisner-winning Do A Powerbomb, Daniel Warren Johnson is bringing Extremity to life like never before.

The Extremity Kickstarter campaign features two distinct books:

• Extremity: Signature Edition: This core 256-page book presents all 12 issues of the comic book in a 12” x 17” format, allowing readers to experience Johnson’s unlettered line art at its original board size, creating an oversized, eye-popping format.
• The Art of Extremity: A 128-page book that provides a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Extremity, including never-before-seen sketches and concept artwork, offering a window into the mind of the worldbuilding creator.

In addition to the books, the campaign also exclusively presents tiered access to Extremity merch, including prints, bookmarks, and T-shirts, as well as signed editions and two retailer levels for comic book shops. Previous backers and mailing list members will also receive a free Extremity title logo pin when they back the campaign.

“I wanted to prove to the world just how awesome I could make comics with Extremity,” said Daniel Warren Johnson. “It was my first big book that I was writing and drawing, and I put every inch of myself towards making it the best I possibly could.

The Extremity: Signature Edition campaign is live now on Kickstarter, with stretch goals and campaign-exclusive products to be announced through the close of the campaign, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
