Lucy Liu has officially joined the cast of Shazam! Fury of the Gods, the highly-anticipated sequel to 2019’s Shazam.
Lucy Liu will be playing the villain Kalypso, a daughter of Atlas and the sister of Helen Mirren’s Hespera. Liu joins Zachary Levi who is reprising his title role, and new cast members Rachel Zegler, and Helen Mirren.
David F. Sandberg is directing the sequel from a screenplay by Henry Gayden. The sequel will continue the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word “Shazam!” is struck by the Living Lightning of the gods and transformed into his adult superhero alter ego, Shazam!
