Darla: Scream King Josh Ruben Talks Darla
Scream King Josh Ruben has teamed up with Invader Comics for his debut horror graphic novel titled Darla. The award-winning actor, director, and writer created Darla alongside up-and-coming artist Briana Tippetts and delves into the unraveling world of Darla who sees her sanity and reality crumble as she explores the underbelly of Americana.
Invader Comics’ description of Darla reads:
“After an accident at work and systematic poisoning through fracking-spoiled groundwater, Darla’s world begins to unravel as she loses her grip on her sanity and reality. DARLA explores the disturbing underbelly of Americana through politics, health, psychosis and murder.”
Ruben, Tippetts, and Invader Comics have pushed the limits with their new graphic novel and we had the opportunity to dive deeper into the horrors of Darla with Ruben during our recent interview.
