Samara Weaving Cast in Action Horror Film ‘Azrael’

Actress Samara Weaving is set to star in the upcoming action-horror film Azrael. The film is said to be getting much attention from producers to possibly develop the film into a franchise and has brought in Evan Katz to helm the film. Katz will direct from a script written by Simon Barrett who is also attached to the upcoming Godzilla vs Kong sequel.

The film was recently part of a competitive bidding war that earned Jason Cloth and Dave Caplan of C2 Motion Picture Group the rights to the film. Producing alongside Barrett and Caplan will be Dan Kagan. Cloth and Katrin Kissa will executive produce.

Weaving was part of another action-horror hit film in Ready Or Not and is set to appear in Scream 6, Babylon, and Borderline. Katz previously worked on Netflix‘s Haunting of Bly Manor with Barrett being credited in another action-horror hit film You’re Next.
