Riker Books is proud to unveil Heather, a short story graphic novel by Rico Lamoureux.
Lamoureux thought he beat the online dating odds when he struck a match with a high compatibility score on the dating app, eHarmony. With weeks of messages, voice chats and calls, he thought everything was going great until he became a victim of internet ghosting.

He then put his frustrations into writing Heather, a crime thriller that is Lamoureux’s “love letter to the dating world” and tackles the topic of being ghosted by an online match.
With prelaunch on Sept 1 on kickstarter, launch will be taking place in February 2026. Fans can follow the kickstarter to be notified about the launch day as well as visit RikerBooks.com. To keep potential readers intrigued, Lamoureux proposed he will tattoo his most successful project, even if it has to be based on his most unfortunate experience.

‘If I succeed with this crowdfunding project and it becomes a bestseller, the name of the woman who ghosted me will forever be on my forearm,” Lamourex said. “I’ve always said I would get a tattoo of the book cover of my first bestseller, and if this turns out to be Heather I will keep my word and have it forever etched into my skin.’
