A new Final Fantasy game was just recently released.  Very soon, a brand new season of X-Men: The Animated Series will be on the air.  The Rock is going to be in the main event at Wrestlemania.  Everywhere you look, foods, fashions, entertainment, and more from decades passed always find a way to come back for another go-round, giving life to the old phrase “everything old will eventually be new again.”

And very soon, thanks to The Nacelle Company and Oni Press, a bunch of franchises from the 80’s and 90’s once thought lost to the ages, will be making their triumphant return!

Robo Force, Biker Mice from Mars, Sectaurs: Warriors of Symbion, Power Lords, The Great Garloo, and more will once again have a chance to shine on TV screens, fill the shelves at toy stores, and of course, take their place on newsstands and comic shops everywhere!  And this resurgence all starts with the double-sized Nacelleverse #0.

Nacelleverse #0

This book starts off by introducing you to The Great Garloo, where after finding the only place he ever called home was destroyed, he sets out on an adventure to find a new place to call home.  On his journey, he comes across a number of colorful characters including the extremely brave Sectaur warriors of Planet Symbion, the always-ready-for-anything Biker Mice from Mars, and more!

His journey eventually takes him to Earth, where he then meets up with a new set of friends, the Robo Force!

Writer Melissa Flores had a big job here, tying all of these classic characters and franchises together into one big story, and she did an incredible job.  Melissa writes in such a way that she makes you feel for these characters, and you can tell how much she cares about them herself.

She spent just enough time to give you a feel for all the different characters, and has in one shot, created this brand new, exciting world where all of these iconic characters co-exist in such a fantastic way!  I feel that she gave each of the characters just enough time to shine without overshadowing the others.

The best part about this book is, even if you aren’t familiar with one, or even several of these franchises, you don’t need to be! This is a great introduction for all of them! And once you add the incredible art from the super talented crew of Rahmat Handoko, Rhoad Marcellius, Francis Portela, and Diogenes Neves, it made me feel like a kid again, reliving the Saturday Morning Cartoons of my youth!

NacelleVerse #0 is available online and at local comic shops today.  Make sure you get your copy, so you will be ready for all the comic goodness to come, because after Nacelleverse #0, these characters will continue their stories in their own brand new series, starting with Robo Force #1 in April, and Biker Mice from Mars #1 this July!
