Sometimes, when you want to read a comic book, you don’t have a lot of options outside of superheroes, sci-fi, horror, weird tales, more superheroes, reboots, and mash-ups.  Now, don’t get me wrong, there isn’t anything wrong with any of these, but every once in a while, you don’t want something dark and brooding, you want something a little more lighthearted and silly.

If you can relate to any of these feelings, then you definitely need to check out the Misfitz Clubhouse. Insymmetry Creations brings this project to life with writers Matt Knowles and Steph Cannon and art by Rahil Mohsin.

In their most recent release:

MEEKY, FERRY, SLOTHIE and STIG are BACK with 32 pages of nutty shenanigans in SHARKS, DRAGONS, and LITTLE RED WAGONS! FOUR short stories make up this issue, where we’ll see the kids in adventures on the ocean’s shore (Beach Bash Bonanza), having to confront a fearsome dragon (Old Man Willow), plus for the first time ever – we’ll get to see the DEBUT of their favorite episodic adventure show – BRUCE McTOOTHERSON – AQUATIC INVESTIGATOR! You’ll even have the opportunity to get yourself DRAWN INTO the final story in the issue – BARREL PERIL!

With their most recent KS, I did the catch-up tier to not only grab the newest book, but also the previous one, and I was not disappointed!  This series is so much fun, and had an old-school feel that brought me back to the days of Saturday Morning Cartoons!  This is a fantastic series that I’d recommend to any age reader, and I very much look forward to the future adventures of the Misfitz!!!
