Pine and Merrimac: Boom! Studios and Kyle Starks Team Up for Small Town Detective Series
Boom! Studios has announced a new detective series, Pine and Merrimac, written by acclaimed author Kyle Starks and illustrated by Fran Galán. Set in Jamesport, a peaceful town nestled at the corner of Pine and Merrimac, this story follows former homicide detective Linnea Kent and her husband as they embark on a new adventure.
PINE AND MERRIMAC #1 will feature cover art by a talented lineup of artists, including Galán, Erica Henderson, Tula Lotay, and Jae Lee.
Yearning for an escape from the violence and death of the big city, Linnea opens a modest detective agency in Jamesport, aided by her husband, a retired MMA fighter. Initially, the simple cases of this tranquil town fulfill their desires for a more peaceful life. However, they soon discover that Jamesport is not as serene as it appears. Sinister forces lurk beneath the quaint exterior, gradually unraveling a twisted web of deception.
Describing his excitement, Starks shares:

I think fans of my Eisner and GLAAD nominated book I Hate This Place will fall in love with these characters the same way they did the character in that book.
