Phantom Blade 0: New Hack ‘N’ Slash Action RPG Announced for PS5 [PlayStation Showcase]
Cruel Man Studio dropped a VERY exciting trailer for their upcoming action RPG Phantom Blade 0. The upcoming game showed an array of impressive displays in both cinematics and gameplay during its announcement trailer at today’s PlayStation Showcase.
This is now confirmed by the trailer’s description but at first glance, as our protagonist unsheathes their sword, you could easily see the martial arts inspiration as well as a steampunk influence and the trailer’s description confirms that this is in fact inspired by Chinese martial arts and steampunk.
Check out the full trailer description:
Check out the world premiere of Phantom Blade Zero, a new Action RPG featuring deep and dark art style, fast paced combat, and a fictitious world blending Chinese martial arts and steampunk! Be the Dark Raider exiled by “The Order”, embark on the path of vengeance, and uncover the darkest secrets of Wulin!
As you traverse the jaw-dropping landscape as the Dark Raider. You will be seeking your revenge against The Order. The trailer also drops a hint that may or may not affect gameplay but certainly will play a pivotal role in the narrative as it’s mentioned more than once that we have little time left and later further notes that by “little time” it’s specifically 66 days as the Dark Raider responds that they will get their heart back.
If this premise doesn’t sell you then stick around for the baffling and surreal hack ‘n’ slash combat that sees you channeling your inner Yoda as you jump around and slice through multiple enemies and even see what could very well be action sequences as we see ourselves battling enemies aboard a horse-drawn carriage.
The game shows tons of promise at its unveiling and we cannot wait to learn more of the lore and world we will be entering as every character featured was so impressively captivating that we can’t wait to see who they are and why we want to drive our blade through them!
Phantom Blade 0 does not currently have a release date.
