Olivia Colman in Talks to Join the Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion with Samuel L. Jackson

Oscar nominee Olivia Colman is heading into the Marvel Universe, Colman is in talks to join the Marvel Studios series, Secret Invasion.

Secret Invasion will find Jackson and Mendelsohn reprising their MCU characters Nick Fury and the Skrull Talos. The two first met in CAPTAIN MARVEL and the series will showcase a faction of the shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years. Additional plot details are being kept very hush-hush because this is Marvel and that’s what they do so no word yet on what role Colman will be playing in the series. Kingsley Ben-Adir also rounds out the cast.

Directors are being lined up for the job and Kyle Bradstreet, who worked on the acclaimed cyber-thriller series Mr. Robot, is writing and executive producing Invasion. A fall shoot in the UK and Europe is being planned.

Colman has been very busy lately and is currently Oscar-nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Father alongside Anthony Hopkins. The actress has already won an Oscar for in performance in The Favourite, which also starred Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz. Colman also received accolades for portraying Queen Elizabeth II in the Netflix period drama series The Crown.
