No Man’s Sky Outlaws: New Update Brings Pirates to Space
Hello Games has revealed a new update coming to their massive universe multiplayer game that has been a real shining light in turning the public’s opinion around after a rocky launch. The newest update No Man’s Sky Outlaws releases today and focuses on the criminal underbelly of space that had not yet been explored in the popular multiplayer game. Sean Murray also spoke with IGN about the upcoming project that might be the most ambitious task Hello Games takes on and although it won’t be a sequel to the adventure game, it will be something much, much more.
Murray shared a tweet summarizing the Outlaws update which is set to bring the following updates:
Outlaw Space Stations
Cloth Simulation
Outlaw Story
Smuggling
Solar Ship
Recruit Wingmen
Planetary Frigates
Improved Space Combat
Forged Passports
More Ship Slots
Bounty Missions
Planetary Pirate Raids
Along with Murray’s tweet, there was also a blog post that delved into the details of the update. Players will now be able to explore Outlaw Stations that will have contraband markets, NPCs ready to give players unique missions, and the opportunity to do some smuggling. You can read more about it in the blog post and also be sure to check out the trailer below.
Along with the recent update, Murray shared more information with IGN regarding the ambitious project coming to No Man’s Sky next, saying:
“Similar to No Man’s Sky, it’s the kind of project that even if we had a thousand people working on it, it’d still seem impossible.”
It’s anybody’s guess what that project could be but if anything can be said of Hello Games is that they certainly have learned from their prior launch and they have mastered their craft making them one of the most prominent studios out there. I am sure many fans, including ourselves, are excited to see what they are bringing to us next.
