New They/Them Trailer Dives Deeper Into the Horrors Of the Conversion Camp
Peacock has released a new trailer for the upcoming film They/Them. The upcoming slasher horror film that will take viewers to a hellish experience at a conversion camp for the LGBTQIA+ community. The film will star Kevin Bacon as the camp organizer for the institution aiming to “cure” people that don’t conform to set gender/sexuality expectations. The new trailer gives a little more insight on the unsettling events happening at the camp.
The trailer takes us to Whistler camp which is run by Owen Whistler. As the teenagers are unloaded off the bus, they are set to call this soon-to-be nightmare of a camp home for the next week. The camp aims to disconnect them from the world, so of course, no cellphones, which is a camp slasher way of saying no help is on the way. As the trailer shows, there is something more sinister beneath the surface of the camp as a killer emerges to pick off the unsuspecting campers.

“Kevin Bacon plays Owen Whistler in this slasher horror film set at an LGBTQIA+ conversion camp. Several queer and trans campers join Whistler for a week of programming intended to “help them find a new sense of freedom”.
As the camp’s methods become increasingly more psychologically unsettling, the campers must work together to protect themselves. When a mysterious killer starts claiming victims, things get even more dangerous.”
Starring alongside Bacon will be Anna Chlumsky, Theo Germaine, Carrie Preston, Quei Tann, Austin Crute, Monique Kim, Anna Lore, Cooper Koch, and Darwin del Fabro. The film will be helmed by award-winning screenwriter John Logan who makes his directorial debut.
