During today’s Pokémon Presents, A new trailer was released for Pokémon Violet and Pokémon Scarlet. The new trailer revealed many new things coming to the new Pokémon adventure players will jump into along with the previously revealed four-player co-op, new legendary Pokémon, new professors, and more.
Pokémon Violet and Pokémon Scarlet will take players to the Paldea Region for the first fully open-world RPG experience. The trailer revealed how multiplayer will work for the new titles and some of the Pokémon trainers will cross paths with as well as a new phenomenon that will allow Pokémon to change called Terastal.
The new Paldea region is described as “a land of vast open spaces dotted with lakes, towering peaks, wastelands, and mountain ranges.” This means there will be many different landscapes and areas to explore as you and your friends travel the region to become the very best! Players will encounter many different types of Pokémon in this new region, some familiar and some new including Haunter, Growlithe, Pineco, plus more. The Pokémon Company advises keeping your eyes open as Pokémon will be living in different areas of the wilderness including treetops, rivers, and many different areas.
Some of the new Pokémon joining players in Scarlet and Violet will be Fidough, a canine-looking creature that is a Fairy-type Pokémon. They have the ability to puff their bodies up when excited. There is also the new Ice-type Pokémon called Cetitan. These Pokémon boast strength and defense thanks to their body size and a thick layer of fat.
