The Force is Strong this Star Wars Day With a New Obi-Wan Kenobi Trailer
Lucasfilm has given fans the best Star Wars Day gift with a new trailer for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series that is set to arrive on Disney+ this month. As we saw in the previous trailer, the Inquisitors are on the hunt for Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) as he keeps a watchful eye over a young Luke Skywalker and evades the determined pursuit of the Inquisitor Reva (Moses Ingram).
The official description for the series reads:
“The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.”
Joining McGregor will be Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader as well as Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse who portrayed Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru in the prequel trilogy. The cast also includes Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
The six-episode limited series will be helmed by Deborah Chow who also serves as showrunner. The series was written by Joby Harold and will be executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Chow, McGregor, and Harold.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on May 27th, 2022. Check out the new trailer below:
