Mr. and Mrs. Smith Trailer Takes Us into Stylish Spy Series Coming to Prime Video
Prime Video has released the trailer for the upcoming original series, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. This adaptation of the 2005 film, which starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, introduces Donald Glover and Maya Erskine as the charismatic main couple who embark on a secret mission while posing as a happily married couple.

The trailer not only offers a sneak peek into the chemistry between Glover and Erskine but also teases some exciting guest stars. Fans can expect to see Paul Dano, John Turturro, Parkey Posey, and Sarah Paulson, among others, making appearances throughout the series.
One of the central tensions explored in the trailer is how the main characters, with their hidden identities, navigate their fabricated marital life. As they face challenges and unexpected twists, they must grapple with the line between their secret missions and the truth they can share with one another.
The official synopsis reads:
Two lonely strangers land a job working for a mysterious spy agency that offers them a glorious life of espionage, wealth, world travels and a dream brownstone in Manhattan. The catch: new identities in an arranged marriage as Mr. & Mrs. John and Jane Smith.
Now hitched, John and Jane navigate a high risk mission every week while also facing a new relationship milestone. Their complex cover story becomes even more complicated when they catch real feelings for each other. What’s riskier, espionage or marriage?

Originally, Phoebe Waller-Bridge was set to star opposite Donald Glover but left the project in 2021 due to creative differences. Nonetheless, the series packs a strong cast that includes Michaela Coel, Wagner Moura, Alexander Skarsgård, Eiza González, Ron Perlman, and Úrsula Corberó, alongside Glover and Erskine.
Get ready for an action-packed, stylish showdown when Mr. and Mrs. Smith premieres exclusively on Prime Video on February 2nd, 2023. Check out the trailer below:
