Moonstone: Embark on the Fantasy Adventure About Escaping Destiny on Kickstarter
Moonstone, a new fantasy comic created and written by Paul Veenstra, has launched on Kickstarter. This epic fantasy also has illustrations by John Li, coloring by Mykola Myky, and lettering by JessHavoc. Moonstone follows Prince Myro and the mysterious Sage who possesses a powerful object known as the moonstone, they are joined together to confront or escape their destinies.
Moonstone’s official description reads:
Myro discovers Sage naked in the sand and the two begin to form a bond. They journey forth to Myro’s home, the Kingdom of Kaladar, only to face the HORRORS awaiting them. Myro and Sage have one thing in common, they are both trying to escape their destinies. For Myro, it is his role as the future King in a dying Kingdom. For Sage, it is an ancient evil which has will stop at nothing to reclaim her and the MOONSTONE that she has stolen.
There are many pieces of this series that create intrigue. First, it’s a fantasy that ALWAYS shines in the comic medium. Veenstra also delves into one of the most iconic fantasy series with the inspiration of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and razzle dazzles it with further inspiration from Chrono Trigger and Attack on Titan.
On the surface, these three worlds might not make sense together but that within itself is the beauty of fantasy universes. You can blend seemingly any universe together and forge it into your own with the mysticism of your original idea. With a ten-issue series already planned, now is the time to jump into the beginning of this adventure crafted by Veenstra and his creative team.
