Matthew Perry has passed away at the age of 54, as reported by TMZ. Best known for his beloved portrayal of Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom Friends. On Saturday, he was found at a Los Angeles-area home. Law enforcement sources have reported that Perry was discovered in a jacuzzi, and no drugs or foul play were thought to be involved. First-responders were called for cardiac arrest. Perry’s contributions to the industry were significant and spanned television and film.
In addition to Friends, he appeared in shows such as Boys Will Be Boys, Beverly Hills, 90210, Silver Spoons, The West Wing, and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Perry also shared his personal journey in his memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir,” in which he delved into his rise to fame, struggles with addiction, and health battles.
His talent also extended to the big screen with notable films like Fools Rush In, The Whole Nine Yards, Three to Tango, The Kid, and 17 Again.
Our thoughts and condolences are with Perry’s family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.
