Galactus Invades Fortnite in the Epic Crossover Marvel X Fortnite: Zero War

Marvel Comics revealed their first look at the upcoming crossover event between Marvel and Epic Games battle royale game Fortnite. The limited series titles Marvel X Fortnite: Zero War is a follow up to the previous collaboration between the two titans Nexus War which blended the publisher’s comic book universe with the popular battle royale. The series is written by Christos Gage & Donald Mustard with art by Sergio Davila, and colors by Edgar Delgado.

Marvel describes the series as a “never-ending war” with several characters from both Marvel and Fortnite. The only way to stop this war is by retrieving the “Zero Shards” and “Zero Point Energy”. These realities all face cataclysmic threats as the world-devouring Galactus joins the fight.

“At its heart, the series is an adventure story, with characters from both universes coming together to go on a treasure hunt into the deepest, darkest depths of the Marvel Universe,” Says Marvel editor Alanna Smith in the announcement. “Donald Mustard and Christos Gage have such a deep love for both Fortnite and Marvel, and Sergio Davíla is turning in some absolutely unreal pages. Having the amazing Leinil Francis Yu on main covers and a killer lineup of Marvel artists on variants has been a real gift as well. This is going to be the ultimate team-up, where the best of both Fortnite and Marvel are represented.”

The first prints of the five-issue series will include download codes for exclusive Fortnite cosmetics that will be free to anyone who purchases the comics. The series will feature covers by artist Leinil Francis Yu.
