Get Ready for Greg Capullo’s Radiant Return to Marvel with WOLVERINE: REVENGE!
Mutant fans, brace yourselves—this is not a drill! The legendary Greg Capullo is back at Marvel, bringing his electrifying artistry to a new, heart-pounding series featuring one of our favorite Canadians. WOLVERINE: REVENGE.
A Homecoming for Capullo
Last year, Greg Capullo returned triumphantly to Marvel Comics, dazzling us with his extraordinary cover work. Now, in what can only be described as a monumental event in the wild and wonderfully weird world of comics, Capullo is diving back into the Marvel Universe with his iconic interior artwork. This August, he teams up with the visionary writer Jonathan Hickman for an all-new prestige limited series that promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
The Ultimate Wolverine Experience
WOLVERINE: REVENGE is set to be five issues of pure, unadulterated Wolverine action, just in time to celebrate the character’s 50th anniversary. The excitement doesn’t stop there—the series will also be available in special RED BAND EDITIONS. Similar to the current Blood Hunt event series, these editions will be polybagged to protect innocent eyes and feature exclusive pages and elevated violence levels.
An All-Star Creative Duo
Announced by Polygon earlier today, the series pits Wolverine against some of his most formidable foes, including Sabretooth, Omega Red, and even Deadpool. Capullo and Hickman are pulling no punches, promising a visceral and punishing journey for Logan as he seeks vengeance.
“I’ve finally returned home to Marvel, and I’m ready to raise some Hell. And, who better to do that with than the Hitman Hickman?” Capullo excitedly told the press. “To celebrate, Marvel has removed the fences and let us off our leash so that we can bring the most vicious and punishing Wolverine story possible to the fans this summer. I hope they’re prepared.”
Hickman added, “Well, obviously it’s such a privilege to get to work with a legend like Greg. When we first talked about the project, our number one concern was taking the readers on a high-octane, no-hold-barred Wolverine story that was a proper celebration of both the character and Greg returning to Marvel. And like he said, the bosses cut us loose and the result is an absolutely wild book. Honestly can’t wait for everyone to get to check it out.”
