Dive Into the Dangerous Mysteries of Alien: Romulus with Marvel’s Upcoming Comic One-Shot!
Following next month’s theatrical release of Alien: Romulus, the latest installment in the ever-terrifying Alien film franchise, Marvel Comics will thrill fans with an ALIEN: ROMULUS comic one-shot this October. This eagerly awaited comic will tackle one of the film’s lingering mysteries, making it a must-read for any Xenomorph expert.
Alien: Romulus #1 is written by horror master Zac Thompson, known for his gripping, delightfullly creepy work on Come Into Me and I Breathed a Body. Joining him is rising star artist Daniel Picciotto, whose passionate illustrations have stolen the gaze of readers in Marvel epics such as Danny Ketch: Ghost Rider and X-Force. This powerhouse duo promises to deliver a story that’ll stay with you like a seed from a curious Facehugger. The only way this narrative leaves your skull is by bursting through your chest.
The upcoming film, Alien: Romulus, directed by Fede Alvarez, will transport us back to the terrifying roots of the Alien saga. It follows young space colonizers who come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. Marvel’s one-shot comic will take place before the film’s events, providing an illuminating backstory behind the main threat. Crafted in close partnership with Director Fede Alvarez and frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues, both of whom wrote the new movie, this comic is an essential companion to one of the summer’s most highly anticipated films.
Zac Thompson shared his excitement at this all-new story revealing secrests of these legendary antagonists:
“The Alien franchise is responsible for my lifelong love of body horror, so needless to say, I’m ecstatic to be contributing a small piece to the canon. Working with Fede Alvarez to craft a prequel to Alien: Romulus was a genuine dream come true and a responsibility I don’t take lightly. The result is a thrilling, terrifying story that slowly gestates into something wholly unpredictable.”
