Mario Strikers: Battle League Overview Trailer Shows Off All the Features Coming to the Arcade-Style Sports Game

Nintendo has revealed a Mario Strikers: Battle League overview trailer bringing all the features of the arcade-style sports game to the forefront. The Mario-centric soccer game will let players take control of their favorite Nintendo characters to head to the soccer field for some arcade-style sports madness. Players can choose to play locally or online with up to eight players.

The overview trailer showed us some of the game features that will be coming our way such as Team Tackle. This feature will allow you to use it to assist your teammates that may need to cover a long distance or you can also use it to take out opposing players.

The loose ruleset also means there are no fouls, so you will rely on equipment you choose to protect yourself and also alter your stats to play the game the way you want. There are also Strike Orbs which allow you to use a Hyper Strike to score two points. You can also discover a signature Striker Style for each individual character.

Playing individually is not out of the question but the highlights of the game certainly seem to be enjoyed with others such as the Strikers Club mode which allows you to create or join a team of up to twenty players.

You and your club can compete against other clubs online. Each match will earn your club points to help you climb through the ranks each season. Club owners will have the option to customize their team’s uniforms and will earn tokens that can be used towards customizing the club’s home stadium.
