Konami Reveals Silent Hill 2 Remake Plus A New Film Along with More New Projects
Konami promised some big news coming from the Silent Hill transmission this week and they did not disappoint. With many projects just confirming many of the rumors that have been circling for years now, Konami did do us all a favor of giving us more details and in some instances trailers of the upcoming projects that include a Silent Hill 2 Remake, a new film, plus much more. Let’s jump into it and show you everything announced.



Silent Hill 2
In what could be the biggest news for Silent Hill fans, we now have confirmation that Bloober Team is in fact developing a remake of the hit entry in the franchise. The studio behind the hit supernatural game The Medium which is getting a TV adaptation will be revamping Silent Hill 2 with all-new visuals and will be coming to PC via Steam as well as PlayStation 5 which will be locked as a console exclusive for at least a year from launch. Silent Hill Townfall
The second announcement is another game that is currently in development from developer No Code. The studio is behind the titles Observation and Stories Untold and although the teaser is in fact nothing but that as it did not reveal many details, it did hint at this being something different than what players might be used to from other Silent Hill titles. Return to Silent Hill
Previous rumors stated that director Christopher Gans was attached to a project in the Silent Hill universe. The director of the 2006 Silent Hill film is set to return to develop a new film titled Return to Silent Hill. Gans himself appeared during the presentation to share details about the film and that the film will adapt Silent Hill 2. With no casting done for the film, it may still be in the earlier parts of development but this could be a huge entry for the franchise. Check out the teaser below:
Silent Hill Ascension
Silent Hill Ascension is a project announced by Konami that it described as an “interactive video streaming experience” with the tagline “face your trauma together.” This is looking like a multiplayer experience or game that come from a collaborative effort from Behaviour Interactive known for their hit multiplayer survival game Dead by Daylight as well as J.J. Abrams‘ Bad Robot Games. Not much else is known but we could be looking at a narrative-driven experience. Check out the teaser below:
Silent Hill f
Lastly, Konami announced a new mainline Silent Hill game titled Silent Hill f. The trailer shows what looks to be 1960s Japan and a young woman walking through the town dragging a pipe very similar to Pyramid Head’s movements. She is then consumed by flowers and that’s about as much as we know for now. No release window or actual gameplay was shown. Check out the trailer below:
