Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley – Kevin Bacon Cast in Netflix’s Beverly Hills Cop Sequel
The upcoming installment in the Beverly Hills Cop films has added more talent to its cast with reports stating that Kevin Bacon will join the previously announced cast of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige who will all be starring alongside Eddie Murphy in Netflix‘s highly-anticipated sequel, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley.
Beverly Hills Cop followed Murphy who played Axel Foley, a Detroit cop who finds himself in Beverly Hills attempting to solve the murder of his friend. All of the previous films had Foley returning to Beverly Hills as he solved crimes but with the plot of the fourth film under wraps, it is unknown where Foley might end up but if the title is to indicate anything, we would say it’s safe to say we will be back in Beverly Hills, California.
Bacon is widely known for his work in the classic film Footloose as well as Tremors, Mystic River, and most recently the slasher film They/Them. He next looks to add other projects on his resume alongside the Beverly Hills Cop sequel including The Toxic Avenger and Leave the World Behind.
Murphy is renowned as a comedy legend who has made a name for himself through stand-up and film. His role in Beverly Hills Cop came soon after he departed from Saturday Night Live and jump-started a career that has led to roles in Coming to America, Shrek, Mulan, The Nutty Professor, and Daddy Daycare.
The film is directed by Mark Molloy from a script written by Will Beall. The film is produced by Murphy alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, Charisse Hewitt-Webster, and Ray Angelic with Melissa Reid serving as co-producer.
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley does not currently have a release date but will stream exclusively on Netflix.
