Joe Lo Truglio On Making His Feature Film Directorial Debut in the Upcoming Film ‘Outpost’
Joe Lo Truglio has worn many different hats in the entertainment industry and has dominated the comedy genre with his roles in many different series and films. Many recognize him from his time on Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine but now he ventures into darker waters as he writes and helms the upcoming film ‘Outpost’. The film being distributed by Gravitas Ventures is set to release in select theaters and Video On Demand in just a couple of days with the indie film hoping to make a splash on both the big screen and in the comfort of your home.
The film’s synopsis reads:
After a violent assault, a woman asks her best friend for help escaping an abusive ex. She’s given a job as a fire lookout in the mountains of northern Idaho, hoping the peaceful solitude will heal her trauma. But the PTSD and isolation have other plans, and it’s suddenly a fight to save herself and the town.
The film stars Beth Dover, Ato Essandoh, Dylan Baker, Becky Ann Baker, Dallas Roberts, Ta’Rea Campbell, Tim Neff, and D.R. Anderson. As previously mentioned, Truglio was at the helm and wrote the script with Kara Baker, Josh Bezoni, Joe Mortimer, Connor Sullivan, and Truglio producing.
The film’s dive into psychological horror is one that carries much intrigue when watching the trailer and reading the details of the film and that intrigue turns into an infatuation as we hear Truglio discuss the film and share his love for horror going back to when he was a child.
