Jessica Maison Takes Us On Tour of Mary Shelley’s School for Monsters
Jessica Maison is an extremely talented writer, with titles including her sci-fi series Plastic Girl, Mary Shelley’s School for Monsters, and stories published in anthologies such as Cthulhu is Hard to Spell, Nightmare Theater, and most recently, Mary Shelley’s School for Monsters: La Llorona in the Machine! Jessica is also head of her own imprint Wicked Tree Press!

I talked to Jessica about how she got her start as a writer, and some of the most wild ideas become the best stories. She talked about the difficulties of running a Kickstarter while on family vacation, and how if your body tells you to slow down, you need to listen! She also talked about how she handles having a co-collaborator so far away, what we can see from her in the future (hint…it’s more monsters), and advice for up-and-coming creatives!
Jessica can next be seen at her booth at the world-famous San Diego Comic-Con! She will be promoting her newest book Mary Shelley’s School for Monsters: La Llorona in the Machine! If you’re in the area, be sure to swing by, visit for a few, and grab yourself a copy of this amazing Graphic Novel! But, if you can’t make it, you can always head to her site and order yourself one!
