Isabella Merced and Young Mazino Join HBO’s The Last of Us Series For Season 2

Following the recent announcement of Kaitlyn Dever joining the cast as Abby in The Last of Us series, HBO has revealed two new additions to the highly anticipated second season.

Young Mazino has been cast as Jesse, a resident of Jackson and a friend of Ellie’s. Described as “a pillar of his community who puts everyone else’s needs before his own, sometimes at terrible cost,”.

Additionally, Isabela Merced will join the cast as Dina, sharing the screen with Dever, Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, and the rest of the ensemble as the series continues to unfold the events of The Last of Us: Part Two. In the games, Dina is portrayed as Ellie’s partner whom she met in Jackson and who accompanies her on her journey, despite conflicting views on vengeance.

In a joint statement, co-creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann expressed their excitement about the new additions to the cast, emphasizing their unique talents and ability to truly embody the essence of their characters from the source material. The co-creators are confident that Young and Isabela will bring their characters to life in a captivating manner, adding depth and complexity to the storyline.
