I Hate Fairyland: More Madness Coming To Fairyland This November
Image Comics has announced the return of the hit comic series I Hate Fairyland. The series comes from Eisner Award-winning writer Skottie Young and artist Brett Bean. Together, the creators will bring an all-new companion ongoing series that is sure to deliver more fun and colorful madness to the world of Fairyland. The premiere issue will feature a main cover by Young with variant covers by Bean, Young, and Peach Momoko.
Image Comics‘ description for I Hate Fairyland reads:
“Everyone’s favorite green-haired, axe-wielding, crazed maniac returns in this Deadpool meets Alice In Wonderland-style adventure! Gert is all grown up and living in the real world. Times are tough, and the only job she’s qualified for has her trying to find her way back to the place she hates the most…Fairyland.”
Young shares that fans that enjoyed the previous issues of I Hate Fairyland are sure to love what’s coming, saying:
“If you liked the first 20 issues of I Hate Fairyland, then you’re going to LOVE the new ongoing. I’ve had a few years to build up some brand new things for Gert to hate. This time around she’s all grown up and as brutal and funny as ever!”
Bean also shared their excitement to be able to add to Gert’s story, saying:
“I’ve loved comic books since I was a kid and it’s been a dream come true to reimagine Gert and get to work with Skottie on the new series.”
I Hate Fairyland #1 will be available at your favorite local comic shop and digitally on November 16th, 2022. Check out the preview below:
