Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores Expansion Takes Players to the Ruins of Los Angeles
Guerilla Games has announced a major story expansion coming to Horizon Forbidden West called Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores. The new expansion takes players to the ruins of Los Angeles which is now an untamed volcanic landscape.
The trailer gives us a glimpse of the familiar Hollywood sign but the rest of the area looks unrecognizable as a heavily forested area and volcanic eruptions can be seen in every direction. What led Aloy here or what threats she will face is almost completely unknown, although we do get a glimpse of a massive machine rumbling under the ground and revealing itself at the end of the trailer.
Many players still have questions about the final moments of the hit sequel but we are unsure if Burning Shore will address those questions or simply take players on a standalone adventure. Regardless, more action-packed landscapes await players and while dangers possibly lurk in this new area, it’s as vast and beautiful as everything that Guerilla Games has delivered thus far in the Horizon series and we cannot wait to explore the wilds of the land south of the Tenakth Clan Lands.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores will releasing as a PlayStation 5 exclusive on April 19, 2023.
