High Fashion Hits Marvel in This Year’s Hellfire Gala Variant Covers

Marvel Comics has revealed the covers that will put superhero high fashion on display for this year’s Hellfire Gala. With the second year of the gala on full display, the mutants aren’t the only ones gracing the event this year as some of the biggest Marvel superheroes join in with stylish looks from some of Marvel‘s most distinguished artists. Russell Dauterman leads the campaign this year and puts together an all-star list of creators.

The artists bringing their talent to what the publisher calls “the green carpet” are Carmen Carnero, Iban Coello, Chris Bachalo, Jen Bartel, Mateus Manhanini, Mahmud Asrar, Miguel Mercado, Meghan Hetrick, InHyuk Lee, and Eric D’Urso. Together they are combining some of the biggest fashion trends and implementing them into some of our favorite Marvel characters for the one-shot issue and a series of 20 variant covers that will drop this June.

“I’m thrilled to be back designing costumes for the mutants!” Dauterman said. “And this year we’re expanding to include more of the Marvel Universe — I jumped at the chance to design one of my favorite characters, the Scarlet Witch! I’m lucky to be in such stellar company, surrounded by the other artists working on this project. I’ve been excited every time new art shows up in my inbox, and can’t wait for everyone to see!”

The 72-page Hellfire Gala #1 by Gerry Duggan, Dauterman, Matteo Lolli, C.F. Villa, and Kris Anka will be available at your local favorite comic shop and digitally in June 2022. Check out the covers and release dates below:
