Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special Trailer Takes the Guardians to Earth for the Holidays
Marvel has released a trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special which sees the guardians heading to Earth for the holidays. The rag-tag group of the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn’t offer many more details about the plot but director and writer James Gunn did previously say that the special will “introduce one of the greatest MCU characters of all time.”
The special stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Vin Diesel as Groot, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Karen Gillan as Nebula. Again, Gunn wrote and directed the special and the trailer revealed that Kevin Bacon will be joining the cast for the holiday special.
The trailer shows the same spirit as we have come to love and expect from the films and through all the action and laughs, Guardians of the Galaxy always has implemented a unique and contagious family dynamic that the trailer looks to the point that will also be coming our way. After all, what are the holidays about if not family?
As we gear up for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which will be Gunn’s final Guardians film and quite possibly last Marvel project as he steps into the role of Co-CEO of DC Studios. We can expect some holiday fun before we see the Guardians again and the introduction of Will Poulter as Adam Warlock.
Guardians of the Galaxy: The Holiday Special will premiere on Disney+ on November 25th and should bridge the gap between Vol.2 and Vol.3 before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hits theaters on May, 5, 2023.
