DSTLRY has just revealed the stunning cover art for GONE #1, designed by the internationally acclaimed artist and Eisner-Award winner, Peach Momoko. The highly anticipated series, following the success of The Devil’s Cut, promises to be an exhilarating sci-fi adventure stemming from the pages of the debut issue by DSTLRY.
GONE, written and illustrated by Eisner-Award winner, Jock, expands on his captivating 8-page story “The Stowaway” featured in DSTLRY’s debut release, The Devil’s Cut.
In GONE, we find ourselves on an impoverished and distant planet, where individuals striving to make a living by supplying starships call home. For 13-year-old Abi, the enticing prospect of a better life lies in being GONE. Together with her street-wise companions, Abi stows away on a colossal luxury space-liner.
Little does she know that her so-called friends have hidden motives, and before she realizes it, she becomes a target of the ship’s deadly crew. As Abi fights against betrayal, searches for true allies, and struggles to survive, she discovers that nothing is farther away than… home.
Jock, the creator of GONE, is serving as both the writer and artist. He shared his excitement about the series, stating, “Gone is a labor of love with which I have the rare opportunity to fine-tune every aspect of the story as both writer and artist.” Jock expressed gratitude to DSTLRY for providing a platform where creators can push the boundaries of their craft, highlighting his anticipation for sharing the world of Gone with readers this fall.
